[HowTo-Hacks Exercises] 1 PETROPHYSICAL GROUPS, PETROPHYSICAL LOGS AND PC ANALYSIS

PETROPHYSICAL GROUPS, PETROPHYSICAL LOGS AND PC ANALYSIS

In this tutorial, we introduce a non exhaustive list of the options available in Techcore module. The work flow that will be presented here is as follow:
- Create a new project and import all data needed (numeric and alpha numeric data, zonation, pictures, aso)
- Check the validity and coherency of the data
- Creation of petrophysical log by interval of representativity and by kriging
- Determine petrophysical groups using as many parameters as you want but at least Phi, K and Pc vs Sw data. Hyperbolic tangent parameters can be used also.
- Define saturation functions for each PG, using different methods: try hyperbolic tangents, Buckley-Leverett, and if these methods are not satisfying, try WWJ
- When satisfied with your saturation model, propagate PG classification to first core data, then to the entire zone of interest using correlation with another classification or log responses
